Summary:

A hexagonal metallo-dielectric periodic structure is studied to see the propagation modes in the pass bandwidth. The pass bandwidth is constituted by several resonances that are not associated to the same propagation mode. Two kinds of field distributions have been achieved: radial and azimuthal modes. The former are present due to the radial distribution of the metallic or dielectric rods and there are as many modes as the number of layers. The latter are azimuthal modes that come from the azimuth variation.
